Digital X-Rays

Periodontist reviewing smile x-rays

No practice would be complete without digital X-rays. These images allow us to see your bone structure below the gums’ surface, to see quickly whether you’ve suffered bone loss and what treatment options may be the best routes to take back to a healthy smile. Because of digital technology, our periodontists can quickly see these images, and what’s more, you’re exposed to far less radiation, so you can sit back and relax while we take care of the rest.

3D Cone Beam CT Imaging

As useful as digital X-rays are, they do not show every detail in your mouth. Our 3D cone beam scanner enables better visualization of the jaws and important anatomic structures. This improves our diagnosis and also allows us  to steer clear of anatomical structures when we place dental implants or perform other complex procedures, which means we avoid unnecessary complications. As a result, our work has higher chances of success.

3D Printer

When planning implant placement, it can be helpful for our specialists to have a 3D model of your mouth. From this accurate model, we can merge it with our 3D scan to surgically plan the placement of your implant. Once the implant is planned using our digital software, a surgical guide is printed on our 3D printer in our Lincoln office to provide precision implant placement.

Digital Impression System

If you’ve had a dental crown or another restoration placed in the past, you’ve likely had impressions taken of your teeth with a putty-like material. It can be an uncomfortable experience to say the least. Fortunately, we utilize digital impressions with a device that easily fits inside your mouth, collects accurate measurements, and allows us to create a better treatment plan according to your needs.
